Salute to Swing is a 17-piece Big Band that has been playing together since 2007. With its balanced sound from a five-sax line, four trombones, four trumpets, drums, piano, guitar, and string bass, it faithfully recreates the Big Band sound from the '40s and '50s — music associated with Benny Goodman and the Dorsey Brothers. Adding to the excitement and entertainment is a group of talented vocalists whose interpretations of arrangements once sung by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Ella Fitzgerald, among others, rounds out the program.

The Band has appeared at events throughout central Virginia, from Lake of the Woods in Orange County to the American Legion, Elks' Lodge, and Senior Center in Charlottesville.

Salute to Swing looks forward to entertaining you at one of our upcoming shows. We also are booking more dates in 2011 for private events and a limited number of fundraisers. Please use the contact form for more information.
